Arcanite - Web-oriented Python Developer

Arcanite is a young and dynamic company that offers tailor-made solutions and supports the IT development of its customers and partners. The company, founded by former members of the EPFL community, now has about twenty employees.

Our core business is the development of customized solutions in the areas of web application development, machine learning, data engineering and server stack management and automation.

Your responsibilities

Contribute in all phases of the development of solutions proposed to customers and partners (design, development, testing, deployment)
Participate in and architect important projects for small and large companies in Switzerland
Share and participate with the rest of the team to enrich everyone's experience

Required profile

Higher education in IT or engineering (EPFL / ETHZ engineer, HES engineer, etc.) appreciated
A technologically versatile and motivated person to explore new areas
Interest in Open Source
Curiosity and open-mindedness
Ability to work in a team, to value the work of others
Ability to transmit knowledge (advice, training, technical exchanges)
Languages: fluent written/oral French and English (min. B1), German a plus

Qualification

Minimum Skills

Good knowledge of Django
A good mastery of Python
Good skills in application architecture, APIs, REST services
Good understanding of the Web and its technologies (HTML, CSS and JS)
Strong experience in Vue.js or equivalent (React, Angular, etc.)

Appreciated skills

Basic skills in Linux and SaltStack system administration
Previous experience in our business areas
Good practical skills with Git and Gitlab
Experience with CI/CD tools, their configuration and support
